2009-10 Officers
Northern Lebanon Rotary elected Suzanne Lake as their new president. Suzanne joined the Northern Lebanon Rotary Club in 2006, became a Board Member in 2007 and is serving as President 2009-2010. She has volunteered with the Community Fire Company of Frystown since 1986 and is currently Financial Secretary.
Suzanne is a Financial Consultant with Susquehanna Wealth Strategies. She started her banking career in 1990 as an administrative assistant in Commercial Lending at the former Peoples National Bank in Lebanon. She then moved on to start the International Department at Waypoint Bank in Harrisburg.
Suzanne is a lifelong resident of Frystown where she lives with her son, William. When not working or volunteering, Suzanne can be found in the garden. She enjoys birdwatching and travel.
Other officers elected include: Ed Anspach, President Elect; Nigel Foundling, Vice President; Brian Miller, Treasurer; Elaine Ludwig, Secretary; and Sheila Recay, Denny Stichter, George Griffin and Brenda Ferrebee Board members.
Also, Nigel Foundling was named Rotarian of the Year
Each Tuesday morning, a breakfast is held at 7AM at Esther’s Diner, Fredericksburg. At each meeting, in addition to professional networking, members keep abreast of current issues through a speaker like Connie Spark, the current District Governor. This year, Elaine Ludwig, from the Northern Lebanon Rotary Club, is the Assistant Governor.
On September 15, October 20, and November 17, 2009 at Harper’s Tavern, a series of three 5:30PM professional networking sessions will replace breakfast meetings.
Potential members are encouraged to attend either or both the breakfast meetings and dinner networking sessions.
On August 22, four Lebanon County Rotary Clubs are sponsoring a golf tournament at Pine Meadows Golf Club. It is an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start, and the cost is $70.00 which includes a steak dinner. Call Nigel Foundling at 274-3566 or Elaine Ludwig at 865-3757 to sign up or get more information on foursomes and sponsors.
During the school year, each month, a Northern Lebanon Middle School student is recognized for his or her accomplishments.
